Casillas talking ‘good’ about Mourinho? Read this..

Iker Casillas said:

"Mourinho’s time at Real Madrid was very good for us. I’ve always thought that. We were able to close the gap on Barcelona. The first season was very good, the last one, not so much. There everyone talks about things but that was a relationship that couldn’t get anymore from it. I have complete respect for the coaches, but when there’s something you don’t like, you should talk about them. You should respect your boss."

"Maybe I should’ve spoken to him [Mourinho] and responded to Mourinho, but a lot of people were on my case about keeping silent. I think what angers me the most is that the people thought I didn’t care. We didn’t have a good relationship and that’s it. I decided to shut up. I’m not accusing anyone of anything or leaving anyone out to dry. What’s normal, that in this case, is to talk."

"When we speak with the president, it’s about the dressing room. We didn’t speak about Mourinho to leave. For me, Mourinho was one of the two best managers I have had; daring, with character, then it came out that we pressured him to leave. It was false."

Hypocrisy at its worst!
Iker - the innocent San Iker who shows greatness by even praising his enemy Mourinho?
Oh, please! Iker is the winner in the internal power struggle. These words sound rehearsed and calculating.
“I opted to keep silent for the good of Real Madrid. " For the good of Real Madrid? More for his own good:

Get rid of Mourinho with the help of his journalist-girlfriend and other friends from the media ✔
Get rid of Diego Lopez, a true competitor ✔
Reposition himself as no. 1 by signing a new goalkeeper who can’t demand much ✔

So Iker remains the Saint and Mou is described as the villain, who destabilised Real Madrid. Well done. Mourinho at least is always honest, while Iker acts behind the back.

1.  The Sara Carbonero incident:
Sara leaked information about the problems in the Real Madrid dressing room to the media. You guess from whom she got the details. Iker didn’t comment about these allegations that he was the mole. But who else?

2.   The Casillas-Lopez-Navas issue:
Diego Lopez was playing at first because Iker was injured and then because he was in top form.
Iker’s position was unchallenged until Diego’s arrival and his great performance during Iker’s injury. Before, Iker was quasi automatically starting, if in top form or not.
So Mou was right with his unpopular statement that he regrets not having contracted Diego earlier. Competition is always good.
Then Lopez was kicked out (of course without any influence from Iker, ha!).
Now Navas was signed, a great goalkeeper, but someone who is not in the position to demand anything.

Summary: José Mourinho was the only one who dared to bench ‘San Iker’ when he was not in form. Instead of taking the challenge and working hard to get back in form, the enemies were chased away.
= Iker Casillas stands above Real Madrid. Unhealthy situation!
